Due to bad weather on 4th of July our city decided to reschedule its fireworks display to the following Friday which happened to be the 13th :) ha ha! That worked out great for us because we were home bound on July 4th because Emma was very sick. It was a super cool celebration at Dell Diamond with free watermelon, 3 parachuters, the Austin Symphonic Band, 2 outdoor movie screens that showed Astronaut Farmer and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory after the fireworks, food booths, pony rides, face painting, and ICE CREAM!
Daddy bought some ice cream but it was soon claimed by our little princess. Emma loved the huge waffle cone of Mint Choc. Chip Blue Bell ice cream as you will see in the below video. This was Emma's first time to see fireworks. She liked them a lot, but what she loved more was the exciting, patriotic music the symphonic band played throughout the night. She danced round and round in circles. She also felt pretty spiffy wearing a purple glow-in-the-dark bracelet. What fun!

What a cute family day! Way to celebrate our nation! Nothing says "America" like being flexible because of sickness and weather!
