4 is fun but tricky sticky at times

Being a parent to a 4 yr. old is tricky - Emma asks difficult questions at times. One funny one was "Mama, when am I going to fall in love?" and then a very blunt and inquisitive question was "Was that Daddy or the real Santa that came to our door and knocked last Christmas and said HO HO HO?" I told her it was Daddy dressed up and pretending to be Santa - she was like "hmmm that is funny." I had to be honest because it was such a direct question... plus she was not asking if Santa is real or not but just if that was Daddy or the real one :0 ha ha

Also, for all of you who think Emma is so sweet and well behaved- thank you! She is most of the time, but please note that she has her moments like any little spirited kid. Just today she smacked me hard on the back as I was carrying her to a time out and then proceeded to bang on the door like a wild animal while in the time out. Then later during bath time she was mad that it was time to get out and splashed a whole tidal wave onto me in anger and soaked me and the floor (this resulted in another time out and no books or songs at bedtime) whew what a 4 yr. old!

She is so much fun though- it totally makes up for all the other difficult or not fun moments!
