Our San Francisco Adventure Begins!

Bill and I began our San Francisco adventure on Saturday at 545am! We had a long, but fun travel day and 1st day in CA with my brother. We were up almost 24 hrs. straight. He surprised us by getting us a place to stay in a extended stay hotel room with lots of character. Very generous of him and too cool! Great location! Thanks Matt- you rock!!

Sunday we just chilled with Matt at his apartment and went to church with him where we enjoyed some great talks and lessons and met a lot of Matt's friends. Some of the activities we did on Sat. and Mon. were: visited Ghiradelli Square-ate some delicious chocolate and saw how it is made, hung out at Matt's apartment, ate at In and Out Burger (yummy), North Beach for awesome Italian food and gelato, rode cable cars, ate breakfast at Pier 39, watched the sea lions play and be noisy at Pier 39, visited the Aquarium- super cool, took a narrated bay tour by boat (that is what above cell phone pics are from) the tour included going under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz, then we have seen 3 movies: "Stardust" - very good...highly recommend it and the other one was "Nanny Diaries"- it was okay...and tonight we watched "The King of Kong" (a documentary about the 2 men competing for the Guinness World Record for the video game "Donkey Kong"- it was way funny and well done- y'all should see it. We are loving our anniversary trip! We will have more pictures to blog when we return home.
